This position is responsible for auditing the quality of drills manufactured in each step of its production.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent Paid quality and measuring training 2-week program offered
• Ability to learn to use precision measuring instruments (such as micrometers and calipers)
• Ability to retain knowledge (such as drill characteristics/terms)
• Ability to learn the manufacturing process of a drill
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities
• Complete 2-week quality and measuring training
• Sample product from all machines and check the product for quality compliance.
• Perform visual inspection of the drill to verify the physical appearance of the drill meets acceptable standards.
• Perform quantitative quality checks on the drills using rulers, micrometers, goniometers and Rockwell hardness testers. These quality checks on the drills are to determine if the drill meets required dimensional tolerances.
• Document results of the visual and measurement inspections.
• Inform the machine operator, group leader, or supervisor of product that does not meet required specifications.
• Communicate with machine operators when they are operating nonconforming parts.
• Perform finished product inspection when required. Documenting measurements.
• Perform inspections on returned product to determine if the product does not meet the customers specifications.
• Sample and inspect product that has been tagged as been in non-conformant. Document findings and inform the necessary personnel of the inspection findings.
• Calibrate measuring equipment e.g., micrometers etc.
• Work on quality control projects when required.

Responsibilities
• The continuous flow operator must be able to setup and operate all production grinding machines
• This position must understand all quality standards for each manufacturing operation
• This position serves as a resource for quality inspectors, production control and supervisors to ensure production goals are being achieved
• The team of operators in this position would be jointly responsible for completion of a drill through all grinding operations in the cell

A Finished Good Processor is responsible for packaging drills into envelopes and bulk packages, and labeling the packages of finished drills for shipment.

Responsibilities
⦁ Pick drills from inventory per work order for enveloping and packaging.
⦁ Create packaging labels on the label maker for enveloping and packaging.
⦁ Enveloping of finished drills per customer order.
⦁ Select correct enveloping and labels for the customer.
⦁ Place the correct drills and quantity in each envelope per work order.
⦁ Apply the correct label to the envelopes.
⦁ Bulk packaging of finished drills per customer order.
⦁ Make boxes for the bulk packaging or pick customer supplied boxes from inventory.

A Heat Treat Operator is responsible for operating the heat treat systems, which hardens the soft drill blanks from cutoff. A Heat Treat Operator must focus on producing high quality parts that meet required specifications. This involves utilizing available measurement instruments to verify that quality standards are achieved. The Heat Treat Operator must meet production goals by limiting machine down time. A Heat Treat Operator must have good attendance, be committed to producing high quality drill blanks and exercise safe work habits.

Qualifications
• Ability to read Rockwell Hardness Testers
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. continuously
• Basic mathematical skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities
⦁ Must be able to set up the both Automated heat-treat systems to run all drill blank sizes. Set up includes setting the correct heat treating time cycle and the temperature of the heat treat furnaces for each drill blank size and type of steel.
⦁ Load the heat treat clamps with drills blanks and place the clamps onto the conveyor system.
⦁ Load small diameter drill blanks into heat treat baskets and place the baskets onto the conveyor system.
⦁ Unload the heat-treated drill blanks off the conveyor and clean the clamps.
⦁ Maintain proper furnace temperature and salt levels
⦁ Responsible for producing drill blanks that meets required specifications and verifying that the drill blank meets those requirements as outlined in the quality procedures
⦁ Perform Rockwell Hardness tests on the drill blanks at the start of a work order using the Rockwell Hardness testers to verify that the drill blank meets the required Rockwell hardness tolerances.
⦁ Perform random Rockwell Hardness tests on the drill blanks during the work order.
⦁ Record the inspection findings as outlined in the quality procedures.
⦁ Trouble shoot machine malfunctions. Make basic mechanical adjustments to the Heat Treat System and restart the Heat Treat System to ensure that the quality of the drills is not compromised and production downtime is minimized.
⦁ Tag product that does not meet the required specifications and complete scrap tickets.
⦁ Count and record production numbers on the timecards.
⦁ Responsible for keeping the work area and the Heat Treat System clean.

• As the Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for our drill bit manufacturing operations
• You will work closely with the materials manager, maintenance team, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining high-quality standards
• Additionally, you will play a key role in optimizing our supply chain, building relationships with suppliers, and implementing efficient inventory management practices
• Develop and implement a communication system for the maintenance team, including a screen display of due dates, order dates, part numbers, and descriptions, to ensure seamless coordination
• Learn and become proficient in Syspro, our procurement software, to create requisitions and purchase orders accurately and efficiently
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel and Word, to prepare reports, analyze data, and maintain documentation related to procurement activities
• Oversee the procurement process, ensuring goods and services are sourced in line with the organization's quantity and quality expectations, thereby eliminating the need for third-party intermediaries and associated fees

• Collaborate with the Utilities person to track inventory levels and restock goods as needed, maintaining optimal stock levels to avoid production delays or excess inventory
• Establish and maintain relationships with at least three suppliers for each major item purchased, while continuously monitoring market prices and recording pricing data for cost-effectiveness and negotiation leverage
• Work with the Utilities person to organize the maintenance crib and implement a QR code system for efficient inventory management
• Perform maintenance and material management duties as needed, assisting with inventory counts, identifying obsolete items, and ensuring accurate records
• Cultivate relationships with existing suppliers, actively scout and evaluate potential new vendors, and stay updated on industry trends to ensure a dynamic and competitive supply chain
• Handle the procurement of steel in various forms (e.g., coil, blanks, and bar stock), maintaining updated records of local and imported blank prices to make informed purchasing decisions based on market conditions
